Hudson’s 7th annual St. Croix RiverFest celebration is set for July 16-21. RiverFest “A Party with a Purpose” is designed to inspire people of all ages to get out and celebrate the St. Croix River while recognizing the need to preserve and protect the river’s health and beauty.

RiverFest is a six-day celebration with a variety of family friendly activities. Starting on Tuesday, July 16th, with the riverfront clean-up, Carpenter Nature Center animal ambassadors and the Toonies ENVIRO-FUN puppet show in the evening. Wednesday’s events include a Naturalist at the Library, Yoga in the Park and an Evening Prairie Hike. On Thursday, July 18th the St. Croix Valley Community Band concert is the featured event. On Friday there is Tai Chi in the Park and the RiverFest Nature Boat Cruise with a naturalist. Saturday is a Kids Fishing Derby and the Native American Celebration and a new Woodland Echoes program with Native American food tasting and a performance by Woodland Sky. RiverFest wraps up on Sunday, July 21st with the Hudson Inclusion Alliance’s Longer Table community potluck, and the Octagon House Museum’s Civil War Encampment.

Join us for a sampling of the amazing work created by Member Artists of ArtReach St. Croix. Each artist is invited to bring one piece of current work for this annual exhibition. From watercolors to pottery, mosiacs to jewelry - the styles, mediums and subject variety exemplifies the talent of our local artists. Three awards will be presented over the course of the show including the Audience Award where each gallery visitor can vote for his or her favorite piece. Voting will begin opening night and continue until 1 hour prior to the award presentation at the closing party on Saturday, August 24th at 2-4pm.

Funding for the 2019 Members Show awards is provided by Peak Atlas Chiropractic, The Stillwater Art Guild Gallery and the ArtReach St. Croix Visual Arts Committee.

On view: July 11-August 24

This summer, find ArtReach St. Croix’s Mobile Art Gallery to see Emerging Artists of the STX.

Pop by to see the exhibition or plan to join the Mobile Art Gallery host and a guest artist in a conversation about the challenges and joys of establishing an art practice in rural, semi-rural and suburban spaces.

Kids, bring your adult with you for a morning of hands-on outdoor exploration. You'll head out on a scavenger hunt for strange organisms called lichens among the park's rocks and trees. Then, use a microscope to get a better look. Before you go home, you'll get tips on how you can continue the outdoor adventure in your own backyard and even share what you find with others.

This program is best for ages 7-11, but older or younger siblings are welcome to follow along. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather and pack a snack. We will walk less than a mile, with some uneven ground along the way. Meet at the park's visitor center (at the north entrance of the park near the stoplights in Taylors Falls).

Peek into the Bottomless Pit, step into the Bake Oven pothole, and marvel at the river gorge. You'll be amazed at the events that shaped this picturesque area, from massive lava flows to glacial rivers to a struggle for preservation.

There is uneven, rocky terrain and short stairs on this tour. Expect to walk less than a half-mile with frequent stops for views. Please contact the naturalist if you are bringing a group of ten or more. No reservation is needed for smaller groups.

Meet at the park's visitor center at the north entrance of the park (256 Traprock Street, Taylors Falls, MN).

However, if you’re captivated by local folklore, into Minnesota legend tripping, a student of Stillwater history, or just interested in sparking your imagination with strange tales about the river, this tour is for you.

Hudson’s 7th annual St. Croix RiverFest celebration is set for July 16-21. RiverFest “A Party with a Purpose” is designed to inspire people of all ages to get out and celebrate the St. Croix River while recognizing the need to preserve and protect the river’s health and beauty.

RiverFest is a six-day celebration with a variety of family friendly activities. Starting on Tuesday, July 16th, with the riverfront clean-up, Carpenter Nature Center animal ambassadors and the Toonies ENVIRO-FUN puppet show in the evening. Wednesday’s events include a Naturalist at the Library, Yoga in the Park and an Evening Prairie Hike. On Thursday, July 18th the St. Croix Valley Community Band concert is the featured event. On Friday there is Tai Chi in the Park and the RiverFest Nature Boat Cruise with a naturalist. Saturday is a Kids Fishing Derby and the Native American Celebration and a new Woodland Echoes program with Native American food tasting and a performance by Woodland Sky. RiverFest wraps up on Sunday, July 21st with the Hudson Inclusion Alliance’s Longer Table community potluck, and the Octagon House Museum’s Civil War Encampment.

Join us for a sampling of the amazing work created by Member Artists of ArtReach St. Croix. Each artist is invited to bring one piece of current work for this annual exhibition. From watercolors to pottery, mosiacs to jewelry - the styles, mediums and subject variety exemplifies the talent of our local artists. Three awards will be presented over the course of the show including the Audience Award where each gallery visitor can vote for his or her favorite piece. Voting will begin opening night and continue until 1 hour prior to the award presentation at the closing party on Saturday, August 24th at 2-4pm.

Funding for the 2019 Members Show awards is provided by Peak Atlas Chiropractic, The Stillwater Art Guild Gallery and the ArtReach St. Croix Visual Arts Committee.

On view: July 11-August 24

Pop by to see the exhibition or plan to join the Mobile Art Gallery host and a guest artist in a conversation about the challenges and joys of establishing an art practice in rural, semi-rural and suburban spaces.

Kids, bring your adult with you for a morning of hands-on outdoor exploration. You'll head out on a scavenger hunt for strange organisms called lichens among the park's rocks and trees. Then, use a microscope to get a better look. Before you go home, you'll get tips on how you can continue the outdoor adventure in your own backyard and even share what you find with others.

This program is best for ages 7-11, but older or younger siblings are welcome to follow along. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather and pack a snack. We will walk less than a mile, with some uneven ground along the way. Meet at the park's visitor center (at the north entrance of the park near the stoplights in Taylors Falls).

There is uneven, rocky terrain and short stairs on this tour. Expect to walk less than a half-mile with frequent stops for views. Please contact the naturalist if you are bringing a group of ten or more. No reservation is needed for smaller groups.

Meet at the park's visitor center at the north entrance of the park (256 Traprock Street, Taylors Falls, MN).

Show One:
Doors: 6:30pm | Show: 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Show Two:
Doors: 9:30pm | Show 10:00pm-Midnight

- Due to the demand of past shows, both of these shows will have LIMITED TICKETS available for pre-purchase, as well as limited tickets for door sales. We highly recommend pre-purchasing your tickets to ensure you have a spot!

- $5/ticket and no guaranteed seat
VIP Tables:
- $50/table = (2) guaranteed seats with a cocktail table + two free drinks
