St. Croix Watershed Research Station – Artist at Pine Needles Residency, “Enhancing Scientific Understanding through Art”
Artist at Pine Needles, a residency program sponsored by the St. Croix Watershed Research Station, seeks applications from artists and writers for Summer 2019. With the vision to enhance scientific understanding through art, the St. Croix Watershed Research Station invites Artists in Residence to interact with the scientific staff and local community to further explore the intersection between art and science. River Falls Public Library Gallery – Call for Artists: Telling Women’s Stories
The River Falls Public Library Gallery is looking for artists to be part of a community art show featuring work by, about and celebrating women’s stories for Women’s History Month. The exhibition will be installed in the spacious lower level gallery and will be on view March 8-April 2, 2019. Additional information

Franconia Sculpture Park – FSP/Jerome Fellowships for Minnesota and New York City Artist
Fellowships provide the opportunity for artists and/or artist teams to create ambitious new projects and exhibit work while in residence at Franconia Sculpture Park. Successful applicants propose new work and clearly demonstrate how a fellowship at Franconia will positively impact their career. FSP/Jerome fellowship artists receive a stipend up to $7,000 to support their time in residence and the creation of new work. Up to four artists or artist teams will be selected. Additional information Deadline: Midnight CST on February 2, 2019

Franconia Sculpture Park – Open Studio Fellowship
Fellowships, open to artists who are U.S. residents and/or have a valid work visa, provide the opportunity for artists and/or artist teams to create ambitious new projects and exhibit work while in residence at Franconia Sculpture Park. Successful applicants propose new work and clearly demonstrate how a fellowship at Franconia will positively impact their career. Artists receive a fellowship of $5,000 to support their time in residence and the creation of new artwork. Up to four artist teams will be selected. Canvas Health – Call for Artist
Canvas Health celebrates its 50th year in business in 2019 and is seeking artists passionate about helping those struggling with mental illness or substance use disorders to commemorate this milestone. We invite the community to submit an art piece to serve as a calming, uplifting piece to inspire people on their mental health journeys. We are called Canvas Health as we believe everyone can recreate or repaint their own personal canvas. Canvas Health will choose from the submissions to display in our headquarters in Oakdale, MN. The Power of the St. Croix Utility Box Mural Project – Call for Artists
Winner of the 2018 Great Idea Competition Grant from the Stillwater Area Foundation, The Power of the St. Croix Utility Box Project is seeking artists to beautiful utility boxes in Stillwater and Marine on St.Croix. Proposals for two-dimensional murals that relate to the beauty and/or history of the St. Croix River are encouraged. Painting or photography that is realistic or abstract will be considered, and there is $500 available for artists to complete each box. Washington County 4-H – Creative Arts Committee
The Washington County 4-H program is looking for volunteers to serve on the Creative Arts committee and teachers for their Creative Arts Day at the Washington County Fairgrounds on February 16. Possible art projects include: macrame, wood burning, painting a mini-mandela on a rock or another medium (acrylic or enamel), anime/cartooning/drawing, dream catcher or a weaving project, polymer clay. Projects need to fit into available time slots. Additional information

Natural Heritage Project – Call for Two Dimensional Artist
Seeking artists interested in creating original two-dimensional art reflecting the beauty and significance of all migratory birds that make
their way along the Saint Croix River Valley in Minnesota & Wisconsin
each year. For this exhibition – “Birds of a Feather,” in participation with the Natural Heritage Project, each artist will include a 500-word statement explaining why you chose your bird and what makes its relationship to the river unique. Additional information Deadline: March 10, 2019

River Falls Community Arts Base – Art’s House
Calls for Artist River Falls Cab is looking for a 3D artist and a jewelry artists to show at their Art’s House gallery in February. They are also accepting applications for the rest for 2019. Franconia Sculpture Park – 2019 Intern Artist Program
The Intern Artist Program at Franconia offers undergraduate and graduate students, as well as emerging artists the opportunity to create large-scale three-dimensional artwork, develop their nascent artistic practice, receive mentorship from professional artists-in-residence, conduct public presentations, and participate in public engagement programs while in residency at Franconia. The rural setting and chance to work along side peers & mid-career artists creates a dynamic setting for artists to grow, learn, and mature. Franconia Sculpture Park – 2019 Hot Metal Artist & Hot Metal Intern Artist Residency
The Hot Metal Residency Program offers artists and interns the opportunity to experiment with pattern-making and mold-making, exchange ideas and techniques, and exhibit finished work in a highly visible public park. Franconia transforms the outdoor studio into a temporary foundry for four weeks during the summer and through a collaborative effort, the Hot Metal Residency culminates in two pours with furnaces melting approximately 8,000lbs of iron. Franconia Sculpture Park – 2019 Arts Administration Internship Program
The Arts Administration Internship Program provides “hands-on” immersion in the daily operations of a progressive arts organization that provides residence and work space to emerging and mid-career artists in a 43-acre sculpture park. There are two different types of administrative interns. Program interns will support Franconia’s education & public programing. The Development intern will work directly with the development manager to support fundraising campaigns. Both interns work closely with Franconia’s staff so interns have a rare opportunity to be immersed in many types of projects and work experiences. Additional information

Afton Art in the Park – Accepting Artist Applications
The Afton Area Business Associate is now accepting artist applications for Afton Art in the Park on September 21-22. The committee will only consider hand-made, high quality, original artwork. While this is not a juried art show, the committee gives consideration to each artist application to ensure a variety of art and to limit the number of artists in a certain category. Art Trolley Adventures – Call for Artists

Stillwater Veterans Memorial – Call for Volunteers
The Stillwater Veterans Memorial is looking for volunteers with fine motor skills and an attention to detail in repainting pavers. A training session would be provided along with all necessary artist supplies, paints, sitting and kneeling pads etc. This is work that can be done at the volunteer’s convenience. The volunteers will be publicly recognized for their contribution to the honoring of veterans at the Memorial. Prospective volunteers can call John Kraemer at 651-439-4350.

Stillwater Art Guild Gallery – Call for Artists
The Stillwater Art Guild Gallery’s River Room is prime exhibition and retail space available for rent by individuals and groups of artists. Tasteful, neutral walls make artwork pop.Warm spot lighting with adjustable brightness directs visitors gaze. Pedestals and moveable free-standing walls are available at no additional cost. You may submit a proposal as an individual or a group. Submissions are accepted on an ongoing basis and reviewed quarterly. Additional Information
