ArtReach St. Croix – One Square Foot Call for Artists
ArtReach St. Croix is looking for artists to participate in One Square Foot, our 2019 fundraiser. We will continue the juried exhibition of original artwork that we began in 2018. Each piece of work is limited to one square foot in size (or one cubed for three dimensional work.) This is an opportunity for artists to showcase their work among a juried selection, gain visibility among local arts collectors and enthusiasts and support the arts in the St. Croix Valley region of Wisconsin and Minnesota. ArtReach St. Croix – Mobile Art Gallery Coordinator (aka Activator) ArtReach St. Croix connects communities & the arts in the scenic St. Croix River Valley.  This year, the Mobile Art Gallery will once again pop-up in locations around the Valley. ArtReach is looking for an Activator to manage the unusual venue and to build public engagement with the Mobile Art Gallery and its art programming.  This could be a great fit for an educator, artist, musician, or other community activist. Imagine what you would you do if you had a Mobile Art Gallery? Let us know how your idea complements the Mobile Art Gallery’s regional awareness building events and activities. ArtReach St. Croix – Mobile Art Gallery Exhibition at Minnesota State Parks
The ArtReach St. Croix Mobile Art Gallery will be returning to Afton, William O’Brien and Interstate State Parks this summer with the touring exhibition “Every Bend in the River.” Artists living and/or working in the St. Croix Valley are encouraged to submit up to three pieces of work that reflects, interacts with or otherwise examines the St. Croix River. ArtReach St. Croix – Members Show Save the Date
Each artist member of ArtReach St. Croix is invited to contribute one piece of new work to the annual Members Show. The show will run July 11-August 24 with artwork drop-off on July 6 and 8. Watch for additional information coming soon!

River Falls Public Library Gallery – Call for Artists: Telling Women’s Stories
The River Falls Public Library Gallery is looking for artists to be part of a community art show featuring work by, about and celebrating women’s stories for Women’s History Month. The exhibition will be installed in the spacious lower level gallery and will be on view March 8-April 2, 2019. Additional information Artwork drop-off: February 28-March 5

Natural Heritage Project – Call for Two Dimensional Artist
Seeking artists interested in creating original two-dimensional art reflecting the beauty and significance of all migratory birds that make
their way along the Saint Croix River Valley in Minnesota & Wisconsin
each year. For this exhibition – “Birds of a Feather,” in participation with the Natural Heritage Project, each artist will include a 500-word statement explaining why you chose your bird and what makes its relationship to the river unique. Additional information Deadline: March 10, 2019

Washington County Parks – Call for Nature Artists
Washington County Parks is looking for Nature Artists to present and/ or interact with families at Campfire Programs held Saturday Nights from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Interested artists can select one or more programs to host. The Campfires are held at Lake Elmo Park Reserve or St. Croix Bluffs, in the campground at 7:15 -8:00 PM. The Power of the St. Croix Utility Box Mural Project – Call for Artists
Winner of the 2018 Great Idea Competition Grant from the Stillwater Area Foundation, The Power of the St. Croix Utility Box Project is seeking artists to beautiful utility boxes in Stillwater and Marine on St.Croix. Proposals for two-dimensional murals that relate to the beauty and/or history of the St. Croix River are encouraged. Painting or photography that is realistic or abstract will be considered, and there is $500 available for artists to complete each box. Additional information Deadline: March 31, 2019 for Spring 2019 installation

The Phipps Center for the Arts – Call for Artists
The Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson, WI, seeks submissions from visual artists in Wisconsin and Minnesota for exhibition opportunities in 2020 in The Galleries of The Phipps and in four public exhibition programs in 2020: Hudson Hospital & Clinic; Westfields Hospital & Clinic in New Richmond, WI; Croixdale in Bayport, MN; and Woodland Hill in Hudson, WI.* Submissions will be considered for all exhibition opportunities, and may be accepted in more than one. Submissions will be juried by members of the Visual Arts Council, which is comprised of artists, arts professionals, and art enthusiasts from the area. Additional information Deadline: July 1

Art Trolley Adventures – Call for Artists
Wahoo! Adventures is seeking fun loving artists for a new St. Croix Valley trolley tour call “Art Trolley Adventures.” Our goal is to continue to grow the Valley as a “go to” art inspired destination by making it hassle-free, fun and unique. Our plan is to offer this tour once/month starting in June and ending in September. Washington County 4-H – Creative Arts Committee
The Washington County 4-H program is looking for volunteers to serve on the Creative Arts committee and teachers for their Creative Arts Day at the Washington County Fairgrounds on February 16. Possible art projects include: macrame, wood burning, painting a mini-mandela on a rock or another medium (acrylic or enamel), anime/cartooning/drawing, dream catcher or a weaving project, polymer clay. Projects need to fit into available time slots. Additional information

The Phipps Center for the Arts – High School Art Exhibition
All students of high school age from Western Wisconsin and Eastern Minnesota are invited to submit one recent original work in any media – drawing, painting, collage, photography, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, or other fine crafts — in the Annual Area High School Art Exhibition. Senior graduating in 2019, may apply for the MaryLu Brown Scholarship for the Arts. Additional information Artwork drop-off: April 9-10

Spirit of the St. Croix Art Festival 2019 – Call for Artists
A juried art fair, featuring 90 plus regional artists with fine art and traditional crafts for sale.  Attendance at this annual art event continues to grow and attracts more than 10,000 visitors to Hudson’s historic downtown and scenic Lakefront Park on the St. Croix River. Additional information First deadline: March 1; Second deadline: May 1 

Art on the Kinni 2019 – Call for Artists
On September 7, 2019, CAB will present the 24rd Annual Art on the Kinni. This lovely fair is always held on the first Saturday after Labor Day along the banks of the Kinnickinnic River in the downtown River Falls area. Art on the Kinni (AOK for short) features as many as 70 juried artists, along with a Budding Artist Bridge, Children’s Art Tent, 2 musical venues and 8 food vendors serving tasty cuisine. Many of your friends and neighbors, plus folks from surrounding communities, were among last year’s record crowd of close to 5800 art and fun lovers who provided a steady stream of foot traffic along the scenic Kinnickinnic/White Trail, Heritage Park and Veteran’s Park. 46th Annual Marine Art Fair – Call for Artists
You are invited to complete the enclosed application. Priority will be given to last year’s artists until May 1st. If you participated last year you do not have to re-jury, unless your product has changed. All others must jury. The Marine Volunteer Public Safety Department depends on and appreciates your participation. This is an outdoor event that has the reputation of being an outstanding art fair. It is always held the 3rdweekend of September,the peak of our fall colors and tourist season. Additional information Deadline: May 1

Rivertown Art Fair – Call for Artists
The Rivertown Fall Art Festival has been part of the beautiful and historic Stillwater riverfront for over 30 years. This event will feature high-end artwork ranging from custom made jewelry, hand-thrown pottery & hand-blown glass, to gorgeous paintings, photographs, lovely fiber work, wood and more. This event is a juried event. Our festival has been a popular and well attended event attracting more than 10,000 people from across the Midwest. Additional information Deadline: July 15

River Falls Community Arts Base – Art’s House
Calls for Artist River Falls Cab is looking for a 3D artist and a jewelry artists to show at their Art’s House gallery in February. They are also accepting applications for the rest for 2019. In March, the gallery will host “Salute to Women!” and are looking art honoring women. Additional information

Afton Art in the Park – Accepting Artist Applications
The Afton Area Business Associate is now accepting artist applications for Afton Art in the Park on September 21-22. The committee will only consider hand-made, high quality, original artwork. While this is not a juried art show, the committee gives consideration to each artist application to ensure a variety of art and to limit the number of artists in a certain category. Stillwater Veterans Memorial – Call for Volunteers
The Stillwater Veterans Memorial is looking for volunteers with fine motor skills and an attention to detail in repainting pavers. A training session would be provided along with all necessary artist supplies, paints, sitting and kneeling pads, etc. This is work that can be done at the volunteer’s convenience. The volunteers will be publicly recognized for their contribution to the honoring of veterans at the Memorial. Prospective volunteers can call John Kraemer at 651-439-4350.

In addition to providing artists and organizations with a web page containing images and information, mnartists.org provides news and features about the local arts scene from a variety of sources.
