The Phipps Center for the Arts – Figuring Drawing Coop
Join fellow artists on Sunday afternoons this fall for figure drawing at The Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson. All models are professional. Twice a month: September 22, October 13, October 27, November 10 and November 27. Bi-monthly sessions are 1-3pm and cost $10. Additional information & registration.

Franconia Sculpture Park – Fellowship Artist Residency
Franconia Sculpture Park’s Fellowship Artist Residency Program provides the opportunity for artists and/or artist teams to create ambitious new projects, interact and collaborate with a community of makers, and impact the public. Artists at any stage in their career, working in sculpture, installation, land art, social practice and performance are welcome to apply for residencies for a minimum of three weeks and a maximum of three months between April 5 and September 15, 2020. Selected artists will each receive a private bedroom and shared workspace to create new work at Franconia, along with a $5,000 award to fund their project. Apply online.

Franconia Sculpture Park – Intern Artist Residency
The Intern Artist Residency Program at Franconia offers undergraduate and graduate students, as well as emerging artists the opportunity to create public artwork, develop their artistic practice, receive mentorship from professional artists-in-residence, and participate in public engagement programs while in residency at Franconia. The rural setting and the chance to work along-side peers, mid-career artists, and visiting art curators creates a dynamic setting for artists to grow, learn, and mature. In exchange for housing, meals, and studio space, selected artists’ commit to working for Franconia Sculpture Park for five hours per day, six days per week. Apply online.

Arcola Mills Historic Foundation – Artist Work Space
Arcola Mills Historic Foundation is pleased to invite Twin Cities and St. Croix Valley-based artists to create in a space that is tranquil, restorative and inspiring. Arcola’s Greek Revival-era mansion has an open, spacious main level, eight studio rooms and a walk-in basement. There is plenty of natural light throughout the house, as well as windows for looking out on the wild and scenic St. Croix River Valley in every room. Evolve Family Services – Exhibiting Artists
We are a non-profit adoption agency located in Oak Park Heights right by the bowling alley. We are looking for artists who would be interested in displaying some of their art pieces in our office. We would be interested in displaying paintings/tapestries/drawings and maybe a sculpture on a temporary basis. Interested artists are asked to contact Susan at skollaja@evolveservices.org

Washington County 4-H – Creative Arts Committee
The Washington County 4-H program is looking for volunteers to serve on the Creative Arts committee and teachers for their Creative Arts Day at the Washington County Fairgrounds on February 16. Possible art projects include: macrame, wood burning, painting a mini-mandela on a rock or another medium (acrylic or enamel), anime/cartooning/drawing, dream catcher or a weaving project, polymer clay. Projects need to fit into available time slots. Additional information

Art Trolley Adventures – Call for Artists
Wahoo! Adventures is seeking fun loving artists for a new St. Croix Valley trolley tour call “Art Trolley Adventures.” Our goal is to continue to grow the Valley as a “go to” art inspired destination by making it hassle-free, fun and unique. Our plan is to offer this tour once/month starting in June and ending in September. Stillwater Veterans Memorial – Call for Volunteers
The Stillwater Veterans Memorial is looking for volunteers with fine motor skills and an attention to detail in repainting pavers. A training session would be provided along with all necessary artist supplies, paints, sitting and kneeling pads, etc. This is work that can be done at the volunteer’s convenience. The volunteers will be publicly recognized for their contribution to the honoring of veterans at the Memorial. Prospective volunteers can call John Kraemer at 651-439-4350.

The Power of the St. Croix Utility Box Mural Project – Call for Artists
Winner of the 2018 Great Idea Competition Grant from the Stillwater Area Foundation, The Power of the St. Croix Utility Box Project is seeking artists to beautiful utility boxes in Stillwater and Marine on St.Croix. Proposals for two-dimensional murals that relate to the beauty and/or history of the St. Croix River are encouraged. Painting or photography that is realistic or abstract will be considered, and there is $500 available for artists to complete each box. Additional information Deadline: March 31, 2019 for Spring 2019 installation
